Tom Yager's one of my favorite columnists in "InfoWorld", the weekly technology magazine. In his latest column, he discusses analyst's proclamations of doom for major companies, based on their last year's financial reports and the size of their competitors. He concludes:
The externally visible character of a company is fostered by its internal, customer-centered policies and attitudes. If a company has these qualities and clings to them when times are bleak, customers with vision will realize that character and commitment trump financials and raw market dynamics.
I thought this was particularly good and evokes exactly what I think any company should strive to achieve. The entire column is here.
